Prince Edward Island

Prince Edward Island (PEI; French: Ile-du-Prince-Edouard; colloquially known as The Island) is one of the thirteen provinces and territories of Canada. The province is the smallest in terms of population and land area, but it is also the most densely-populated. The island is known by several nicknames, including “Garden of the Gulf”, the “Birthplace of Confederation”, and the “Cradle of Confederation”. Its capital and largest city is Charlottetown. It is one of the three Maritime provinces and one of the four Atlantic provinces.
